Zip… zoom!! If you’ve ever seen a dragonfly, you would know that they are creatures of speed. Known also for their ability to hover in one spot for a very long time and for their darting from place to place, the dragonfly can go from a stop to fly about 90 miles per hour in mere seconds.

The dragonfly symbolizes wisdom, change, transformation, and adaptability in life. Dragonflies are born in the water and begin to grow there, then move into the air and learn to fly. This adaptability inspires us to be flexible and adaptable ourselves!

We often wonder what would keep the attention of these speedy creatures and we imagine it would be a fluttering fairy, playing them a tune! Dragonflies and fairies are actually tied together in many stories. In parts of Europe, particularly in Ireland, it was told if you followed a dragonfly, it would lead you to fairies.
