November Fan of the Month Winners

When did you first pick up a coloring book?

I picked up my first ColorIt book on 5/30/17.

Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.

I enjoy coloring on my sofa surrounded by all my coloring media.

Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.

I get ready by choosing what drawing I'm going to color then choosing what media I'm going to use.

How has coloring changed or added to your life?

I just feel calm and relaxed in my own world.

What advice would you give someone who isn’t confident about their coloring technique?

I would tell them to color any way they want, free YOUR creativity like you say nothing is wrong.

What’s your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?

My favorite book is Colorful Christmas because I love Christmas and I was born the day after Christmas.

Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?

I introduce my husband to ColorIt early this year and now he colors more drawings than I do we share books so I have to go through the books and pick out the ones I want to do first. Thanks for the gift card I already purchase Colorful Christmas because all I had was the free downloads and I wanted the whole book.

When did you first pick up a coloring book?

I have been coloring for as long as I can remember but I picked up my first Adult coloring book in 2015 I seen one at Walmart and had to have it and try it out! Ever since then coloring has stuck with me.

Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.

Being in my room on my bed or at my desk surrounded by my colored pencils watching colorist on YouTube.

Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.

I don't really have a creative process. I just go with a book I'm feeling for the day and pick the picture that yells out to me. And from there I decide on colors normally I'll pick 1 color for an area on the picture and try to work with that on my other colors.

How has coloring changed or added to your life?

It's helped a lot with stress and anxiety. And also helps pass the time. It's fun watching pictures come to life when you add color. When I start a picture I get excited to see how it's going to come out in the end.

What advice would you give someone who isn’t confident about their coloring technique?

I'd say don't put much thought into it! Sometimes the best pictures come out from not worrying about how it's going to turn out. And no matter what everything is a learning process so if you feel like you have messed up you can learn from your mistakes for next time! If you ask me there is no wrong to coloring. Lots of people color differently and there is no wrong in that!

What’s your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?

The Native American Spirit followed closely by Mythical and Fantasy. Oh hmm, I love Mermaids! Maybe a whole book full of Mermaids?!

Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?

There is no right or wrong to coloring! Coloring has made me so happy on my 3 year journey and look forward to many years to come!
