MAY 2021 FAN OF THE MONTH WINNERS
Posted by ColorIt Support on
“Moms are the biggest blooms in the bouquet of life.” —Amy Hoover
For the winners of our May Fan of the Month contest, there’s another way to show their mothers and mother figures how much they care aside from giving them a bouquet of flowers. These winners poured their feelings into their coloring and came up with artwork that’s sure to warm Mom’s heart.
For our May Fan of the Month challenge, we asked our ColorIt family to color in any ColorIt coloring page that reminds them of their moms or mother figures, or that they would like to dedicate to the mothers in their lives.
At the end of the month, the ColorIt team will choose three (3) submissions based on the set criteria and three (3) more random picks to keep things fun.
The 6 talented winners will then receive a $25 gift card from ColorIt. You can even double your prize amount if you color the page using any of our coloring mediums.

MAY FAN OF THE MONTH WINNER: ANNA SHANDONAY
When did you first pick up a coloring book?
I've been coloring ever since I can remember. I was 2 or 3 years old whenever I started to color.
Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.
My perfect coloring atmosphere is coloring in my room at my desk.
Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.
My creative process goes as followed. I get to my desk and I have all of my supplies. I usually have my ColorIt markers, gel pens(and the refills just in case),and I have the watercolor brushes. I even have a piece of paper so it doesn't bleed onto the next page.
How has coloring changed or added to your life?
Coloring has really added to my life. I could never ever draw. Even as an adult I still can't draw so I've always gravitated more towards coloring. It relaxes me and it is a great distraction from what is going on in the world.
What advice would you give someone who isn’t confident about their coloring technique?
The advice that I would give someone who isn't confident about their coloring technique is keep at it. Don't give up. Even if you aren't perfect when it comes to staying in the lines, trust me you'll get better with practice.
What’s your favorite ColorIt book?
Tropical Scenes
What title would you like to see in the future?
A title I would like to see in the future is more ocean coloring books!
Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?
I would like to say that coloring has been one of the best things for me. It is very rewarding and very relaxing.
