See, each month the ColorIt team picks three winning art submissions for our Fan of the Month contest based on set criteria. We also choose three more random winners to spice things up.
And to make it even more exciting, colorists that include their ColorIt gel pens, pencils, markers, or watercolor brush pens in their submission photo also had the chance to win double their prize!

When did you first pick up a coloring book?
I got my first adult coloring book a few years ago as a Christmas gift.
Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.
My perfect coloring atmosphere is an oversized chair near a window to hear all the sounds of nature and have good lighting.
Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.
I really do not have a creative process. It's more what kind of mood I am in. I'll flip through the pictures and see what calls to me.
How has coloring changed or added to your life?
Coloring helps me release the stress of the day.
What advice would you give someone who isn't confident about their coloring technique?
If you are truly worried about your technique, there are tutorials on YouTube. Personally I say have fun with it, experiment and enjoy it.
What's your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?
I currently do not own any of them, however I do plan on getting the Colorful Dragon book. Magical forests and more Dragons.
Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?
I save my pictures and watch how much better they become as I learn more techniques. The best part is, once I learn it, I can teach it to my grandchild and at the same time make good memories.

When did you first pick up a coloring book?
I got my first (and only, so far) coloring book from you in the beginning of this year and I absolutely love it. I've also done a few of the Friday Freebies.
Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.
My perfect coloring environment is in my kitchen, with my 6 dogs with a great audio book playing. Bonus is to have have spaghetti sauce, beef burgundy or chili simmering on the stove.
Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.
Usually I'm sliding in anywhere from 10-120 minutes of coloring during my day. If I'm starting something new, I usually, but always, spend a few minutes thinking about a colour palette 🎨. Other than that, it's pretty simple...good lighting, comfy attire and possibly a snack. Nothing as exotic as a meditation 🧘♀️ or Yoga prelude.
How has coloring changed or added to your life?
I started colouring in June of 2018 to fill my hours of recovery from foot surgery. However, although I'm up and around again, I still enjoy it. I'm not by any stretch of the imagination an artist. I take it for what it is to me....a hobby that I really enjoy. I look forward to my colouring and miss it if I don't get the time. The colours make me happy and most of the time I am happy with my finished project. I try my best yet it's one of the few things I don't get competitive over and that's refreshing for me.
What advice would you give someone who isn't confident about their coloring technique?
I'd advise a newcomer to be patient. Rushing rarely yields a result to be happy with. However, as someone is discovering a type of picture that speaks to you, be patient but not to the extent to where it no longer is FUN!
What's your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?
My favorite and only Colorit book is the Wild Animal book. I love it! However, I'm looking forward to something new with my winnings 😀
Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?
I love the YouTube videos and the newsletters. I feel as if this company's communications are excellent and so vital to success. I have the book, all the gel pens and markers and feel all are great products. I love that the gel pens are refillable.

When did you first pick up a coloring book?
I've been coloring for as long as I can remember, way before it was popular to color for adults for relaxation.
Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.
I like to either curl up on the couch in the afternoon sun or lay on the floor with my dogs next to me and color.
Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.
First I try to figure out what the centered item color should be and pick complimentary colors to go with it. I love my Colorit! Markers and colored pencils to do this with.
How has coloring changed or added to your life?
Coloring has always been a source of relaxation for me. When coloring, I get "into the zone" and lose time. It's a wonderful feeling.
What advice would you give someone who isn't confident about their coloring technique?
JUST DO IT! Who cares if it looks great, if it makes you feel good and content while you're doing it, that's all that counts!
What's your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?
I like the Mandala books. Mandalas are used in therapy to promote calm, and relaxation. I would like to see more Mandala designs.
Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?
Markers and colored pencils are the nicest to use, I would like to see some form of paint to use as well.
