When did you first pick up a coloring book?
I started coloring a little over two years ago when a co-worker gave me a nature-themed coloring book and some markers as a Secret Santa gift. Once I started coloring, I was hooked and quickly expanded my collection of coloring books, markers, and gel pens.

Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.
I enjoy coloring while relaxing on the couch watching TV. I use my laptop desk as a table to color on and listen to the TV more than watch it.

Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.
What I choose to color depends on my mood. I first pick out the subject matter, then I choose the design I want to color. After I've decided on a design I choose the combination of colors I want to use, then I gather the markers or pens I think will work and test the colors on a piece of scrap paper. This helps me make sure the markers or pens I've chosen match the color combination I've chosen for my design.

How has coloring changed or added to your life?
I have a stressful job, and coloring is a great way to deal with stress. Coloring has helped free my mind of the everyday worries that threaten to bring me down. Coloring has been a fun, creative outlet for me. It has also been a hobby that's helped me bond more with my mom. We like to share photos with each other of the designs we color.
What advice would you give someone who isn't confident about their coloring technique?
The best advice I can give is to always remember that you're coloring for fun. Coloring should be a stress reliever, not a cause for stress. If you're not satisfied with just picking out colors and coloring your heart out with markers, gel pens, and colored pencils, take advantage of the plethora of resources available on the internet to help you learn different coloring techniques. Just remember to relax and enjoy the time you spend coloring!
What's your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?
At the moment, "Mandalas" is my favorite ColorIt book. I would love to see an Egyptian-themed ColorIt book in the future. A desert-themed book would also be great.

Is there anything else you want to share about your love of coloring?
I never imagined I'd love coloring as much as I do now. Discovering ColorIt books has definitely enhanced my love of coloring. I love everything ColorIt books have to offer: spiral binding, hardback covers, and amazing artwork on quality paper. I'm spoiled now. :)

When did you first pick up a coloring book?
I first picked up a coloring book when I broke my foot in 2015.

Describe your perfect coloring atmosphere.
It varies. Usually prefer when it is quiet, with a cat sitting beside me. But anytime is a good time.

Tell us about your creative process when you get ready to color.
I love mandalas! I just pick a page that speaks to me and has interesting details. I love to pick colors that are vibrant and compliment each other.

How has coloring changed or added to your life?
It has helped me relax more often. It acts as a form of meditation.

What advice would you give someone who isn't confident about their coloring technique?
Just follow your artistic heart. Don't worry if a color doesn't work well, you can always add a different color to it and change it. Try or different types of markers and pencils. Take your time, and don't rush your process.

What's your favorite ColorIt book? What title would you like to see in the future?
The only ColorIt book that I have, my husband gave to me at Christmas, which was Mandalas Vol 2 and it is wonderful. I love that the pages are thick and markers don't bleed. I would love to see more Mandala books with a more full-page, edge to edge art.
